After some ac problems in the last few months, we really appreciated Mike’s service. He helped address all concerns and issues and provided us with tips to make sure we were doing our part in maintaining our unit. I hope the company continues to send him out to us. Thank you for making sure my family was safe! Update: Ran into some AC issues 6 months after repairs. If it wasn’t for our experience with Mike, the review would be much lower. Office sent out a tech 3 times over the course of 2 weeks with no resolution. The last time a tech came out, I was told my ducts need replaced due to a leak. After a second opinion from a trusted technician, there were no leaks or issues with the ducts/insulation. After being charged without resolution, it’s very frustrating. I would expect more out of a company where I hold 2 service contracts and been a customer for nearly a decade.

Hey Dennis So the work is done and the AC is cranking and I’m sure my wife & I are finally gonna have a good night. Thank you so much for not being a sales person and explaining me the in’s and out’s of making this decision. You were very kind and human (so to speak) and I had a great experience. Also the 2 technicians you sent were also very professional and they did a fantastic job doing the install and cleaning afterwards. Rest assured I will be remaining a customer of your company for a long time to come and also for the maintenance program like I have been for years. Thank you so much, Harry Vala

I rarely provide reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with this company to prevent others from encountering a similar situation. Approximately two years ago, the company installed two mini split air conditioners in my garage. However, when we sold the house, we discovered that the permits for the installation had never been closed out. Despite numerous attempts to reach out to the company for resolution, we were met with evasive responses. In an effort to address the issue, we involved our realtor, who was assured by the company that they would rectify the situation. Unfortunately, they failed to follow through. As the closing date approached, we were required to leave $15,000 in escrow until the permit was properly closed. We promptly informed the company of this requirement, but once again, they neglected to take any action. After a month of persistence, we finally managed to establish contact with someone from the company, who informed us that the sales representative was no longer employed and the permit personnel was on leave. It was during this exchange that we spoke with a person named Dennis Duff, who identified himself as the owner. Regrettably, Mr. Duff exhibited an arrogant demeanor and seemed to insinuate that we were at fault for the situation. When I personally spoke with him and questioned his responsibility as the owner, he responded dismissively, claiming ignorance of the matter. Eventually, after much back-and-forth, Mr. Duff assured me that the issue would be resolved. However, despite his assurance, I waited patiently for a month with no progress. I made numerous attempts to contact him via phone calls, text messages, and emails, but received no response. In the end, I lost the $15,000 to the buyer of my home, and I am now compelled to seek legal representation in order to pursue a resolution, despite the unfortunate expenditure of resources. In light of my experience, I strongly advise against engaging with this company, as they have demonstrated a lack of commitment and follow-through on their promises.

FOURTEEN DAYS OF NO AIR CONDITIONING??? Yes, it's true. I built a brand new home with K Hov, and Engineered Air was the HVAC contractor. Air conditioning broke the first month. Drain line plugged so they fixed it. Ok no problem. Then it broke again. I'm now on day 14 of NO air conditioning. I understand that things happen but this is crazy. How are you supposed to go 14 days without air conditioning? Keep in mind - this is A BRAND NEW HOME with a brand new HVAC system. Literally two months old! Worse of all, Elliot, the owner REFUSED to speak with me regarding my situation. As per Lydia, "He won't come to the phone." I owned TWO heating & air conditioning businesses up in New York, and I would never in a million years refuse to speak with a customer. UPDATE 5/27/2024 Spoke with Dennis, the other owner on Friday 5/24/2024 and he seemed concerned about my situation, but then he GHOSTED me. Didn't respond to multiple text messages or my voicemail. Today is Memorial Day and it's 92 degrees outside. They left me HANGING ALL WEEKEND long without fixing this problem.

After +10-year relationship with engineered air, I had a highly disappointing experience. Immediately following an annual maintenance visit, my AC was no longer cooling, as result of a freon leak, caused by a broken schrader valve. The valve was damaged during the service and needed subsequent replacing. Engineered Air did not assume any responsibility for causing that breakage and did not offer any compensation. My two AC systems will need replacing within the next two years and, regretfully, I will need to find a different supplier.
