Tracy Young1 StarI called Air Boca for a service call to flush the drain line like I had done in the past. The girl on the phone said it would be a $115 service charge plus the labor to flush the drain line. I had this done just 5 months before. Their service charge went up $20, Ok, like everything else. I asked how much to flush the drain. 5 months ago we paid $86 for that. She put me on hold while she went to ask, came back and said, yes that will be the price. I said Ok, and they were sending someone out later. The service man came, and at the front door told me it was going to be $115 plus $275 to flush the drain! I told him his office told me it was going to be the same price I paid a few months ago, $115 plus $86 (which is $20 more because of the increase in the service charge). If the girl on the phone would have said $275 to flush the drain line, I would have never scheduled an appointment with them!. He asked, "who did you speak with"? I said, "whatever girl answered your phone"! Well he said that's not the price and Air Boca got bought out and the new owners are different. Well, with that said, I said GOODBYE, I'm not going to do the service with you. Mind you, he hadn't even looked at my A/C yet. Beware the new owners are not customer friendly. I called another company and they flushed the drain line and deducted the service call charge to the job, way way way under the price Air Boca quoted me. Plus they also performed maintenance on my 2 other units and I bought a maintenance contract from them. Air Boca, you lost a good customer. You need to get it together.Saturday 25th May 2024
robert arrighi5 StarWe highly recommend Air Boca. We’ve been with them since 2015. They installed a new A/C unit for us in 2015. We’ve had no trouble. Their maintenance service is outstanding. We recently had our semi-annual maintenance which was very thorough. Cody, our maintenance technician, was wonderful. He was thorough, neat, efficient, knowledgeable and very courteous. Air Boca installed two new A/C units across two of my properties, and I've faithfully kept up with years of maintenance payments. The ironic twist emerges when my A/C unit, not even two years old, decided to falter on a day when indoor temperatures reached a scorching 88 degrees. While I don't hold out hope for empathy,
Here's the crux of the matter: while a morning call for service yields little assistance, the company displays a curious willingness to send help only after hours – specifically from 4 PM until 7 PM. If you find yourself needing assistance outside these hours, brace yourself for the less-than-welcome surprise of an "after-hours service" charge on your bill. Furthermore, warranties seem to have an expiration time as well – after 4:00 PM, they're rendered void. When seeking clarification on this policy, the response received was that "other companies do the same." Essentially, they're saying that many A/C companies partake in the practice of charging steep fees for inspecting A/C units they installed not too long ago. It's a situation that could leave you feeling taken advantage of. Victoria, the individual handling phone interactions, seems to excel in providing what I can only describe as "nasty" customer service. And then there's Diane, the office manager, who exudes a high level of indifference. These factors played a significant role in my decision to steer clear of Air Boca in the future. Yes, it is sad to say but "Nasty" seems to capture the essence of customer service at Air Boca. Just don’t, there are other companies out here. By the way I had another company who came and flush the lines same day and fixed the capacitator and I am happy to say I am back to 75 degrees in my house. Dealing with all these charlatans in Boca either being A/C or plumbing or anything else around the house is got to stop, it’s not brain surgery but it definitely cost more than that….why?Friday 1st September 2023
